Divinely Dramatic by Sandra L. Young BOOK Review and Tour

The great follow up to Divine Vintage and I can’t say enough wonderful things, bravo Ms. Sandra!

Marcy, who also works at Divine Vintage with her boss Tess (we met in Divine Vintage), has agreed to be the costumer on a play by Oscar Wilde. She may have bitten off more than she can chew when she begins to see an aura in the attic of the theater. Ultimately she gets cast as the leading lady and things get even more ghostly. Can she juggle being a costumer, actress and retail assistant or has she put too much on her plate?

I really loved this follow up! It gave me everything I want in a good read. Romance, paranormal, suspense and a great deal of character development. It had a nice pace and ultimately I could have finished much quicker but, I enjoyed taking my time. Very well done, a definite must read! Five stars for this paranormal romance reading gift!

Out of Nowhere by Sandra Brown BOOK Review

I’ve been a fan of Sandra’s for years and the fan status has never wavered. Every year her books seem to keep her suspense, mystery and romance notes going with renewed interest.

A massive fair shooting with many casualties and tragedies. It’s become common in this sad and crazy world we’re living in. Why have they become so frequent? Elle, a children’s author is enjoying time with her little boy when tragedy strikes and someone opens up with a gun at the fair. Suddenly there are victims everywhere. But something brings her and another casualty together and they try to figure out the “whodunnit” together.

I enjoyed this book, it felt different than Sandra’s other books but, the quality of the read was not. It had all of the fabulous elements just like her other books employ. As always, the romance was there and it was involved and perfectly included in the sadness of the theme. A really great and fast read in spite of the 400+ pages. Five stars!

Hello Stranger by Katherine Center BOOK Review

If you’re already familiar with Katherine’s writing, you can just skip this paragraph because, you just know how amazing her writing is! However, if you’ve never read her, let’s chat. Her covers are always full of gorgeous colors and flowers, her stories are funny mixed with sad and always, always have a great meaning or message embedded in them. In one word, they’re a joy to read!

Sadie, after placing in a huge art contest is at the corner store to buy wine for her last minute celebratory party. Meets a good looking stranger who pays for said wine and somehow ends up fainting and almost being annihilated by a car. That good looking stranger is a Good Samaritan and saves her. After brain surgery, she ends up with facial blindness where she can’t recognize faces. And you thought you had a bad day! She falls for “Joe” without even seeing his face and things get wonky but, love always has a way of finding itself, right?

I absolutely loved this story, I loved the characters, Sadie’s apartment or “hovel” as she calls it and I love the message. Love is so many things and it can find what it’s looking for. Highly recommend this gem! Five stars!

A Desert Rivalry #3 by Savannah Hendricks BOOK Review

The third and final book in The Hearts of Woolsey series and I absolutely adored it! I love Savannah’s writing style, the way her characters are described and the overall messages in her stories.

Alexander, head Librarian has to take off some time from the library because of back surgery. April, fresh with her Library Science degree is there to help out. Alexander is scared though, he’s afraid she will try to take his job and the towns residents are wanting her to take the job. They desire change and newness and Alexander is just not up to change. People can change though, especially when love slides through the door with classic Christmas movies.

Without a doubt, this is a five star read; a must read to add to your collection. I recommend all three books in the series. They all have something special to warm your heart and give you a great reading experience. Savannah just knows how to draw her readers in and keep them entertained. I also love how she incorporates little details they are reminiscent of herself. Go grab the series off Amazon and share with all your girlfriends!

A Desert Romance #2 by Savannah Hendricks BOOK Review

Another truly delightful story set in Woolsey! Savannah is the best at romance that focuses on the heart and I love her for it.

In this second installment, we focus on Aurora, newly widowed and feeling very lonely and alone. Though she has her girls, she craves that feeling of having someone to talk to about her days and the companionship she’s missed since her husband died suddenly. In cokes Gavin, racing away from a hurricane that’s sure to do damage in Louisiana. With the Judge’s push, can they emerge as a couple or will they both end up alone?

I really enjoyed this read. It made me smile, it made me sad for their broken hearts but, the feelings they shared made me happy. A really terrific read full of wonderful characters, perfect inclusions that make the story extra special and that extra “oomph” to keep you interested. Awesome job Savannah! I’ll be starting the third in the series soon, so stay tuned y’all! Five stars all the way!

Overkill by Sandra Brown BOOK Review

Thank you so very much to NetGalley and Grand Central Publishing for this copy! As usual, it was a great novel from Sandra Brown!

In this novel we have a retired football star and a state prosecutor who come together to make a wrong, right but, they endure a fight for their own lives. Zach, former football player’s ex wife, Rebecca isn’t a modest woman and finds her way into Eban’s world. Eban is a pompous, selfish, destructive and violent man. He and his two friends put Rebecca in the hospital. Years later she is still considered brain dead but, her parents have held out hope and wouldn’t “pull the plug”. That decision has always been Zach’s in fact. He left it in their hands and now with Eban’s release from prison brings all of these characters together.

This story was classic Sandra Brown; suspense, mystery mixed with romance on the side. It flew by and was super good! I enjoyed this one and definitely recommend. The setting seemed beautiful and the characters were well developed. The twists were perfectly placed and kept me invested! Four stars!

Divine Vintage by Sandra L. Young BOOK Tour & Review

Where do I even begin? This story was absolutely fantastic and I only wish there was a second in the series. The characters, the plot, it all was sooo good!

Let’s talk about the story, shall we? Tess has opened up her very own vintage clothing store. She adores all things vintage and the stories that go with them. She meets two ladies who invite her to model an Edwardian style dress at their family home. In doing so, she meets the son of one of the ladies and he is also modeling a suit. Electricity sizzles between the two and soon they both are seeing visions from the past, from a couple that was said to have died by a murder-suicide but, did the husband really kill the wife? Tess and Trey are soon committed to finally finding out what happened.

I truly adored this story, it was easy to read and easy to keep up with. It was fascinating and exactly the kind of story I needed to get me out of my reading slump. A huge thank you to Sandra and Kate with Kate Rock Book Tours for having me on this tour. Without a doubt, 5 stars!!

Last Summer at the Golden Hotel by Elyssa Friedland BOOK Review

A homage to Dirty Dancing and all of the wonderful catskills resorts of the past. This novel was so so good!!

The Golden Hotel owners, The Goldman and Weingold Families are facing a tough decision. Sell or try to update the once glamorous resort. Many years after opening the hotels facilities have gone downhill and updating would cost an atrocious amount of money. The families decide to meet the week of Labor Day to cast their votes. What they find is the magic from The Golden’s heyday is still there and memories cannot be bought but, change can be good.

I really enjoyed this read, the writing was wonderful, the story and characters easy to follow and the hotel’s golden years entertaining. I definitely recommend this one, especially for all of my fellow Dirty Dancing fans. This story explored the goodness of those days and I loved it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Outfox by Sandra Brown BOOK Review

Sandra Brown, the queen of romance mystery novels..need I say more?

I’ve been reading her novels for a very, very long time and not one has ever disappointed me.

This one involves Drex Easton, Talia Shafer and Jasper Ford. FBI agent looking to get revenge for his mother’s death and bring her killer to justice. What he doesn’t expect to happen is to fall hard for the beautiful and classy Talia Shafer. Along the way we find out more things with the incredible way Sandra weaves and twists little facts that we assumed were true but, in fact weren’t.

I enjoyed this read and if you’re a fan of Sandra Browns, then it’s a given you have to read it. Now, if you’re not a fan yet, I recommend starting with some of her earlier works.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ only because the overall story seems to be one she’s already covered but, this has new and different twists.
