No One Can Know by Kate Alice Marshall BOOK Review

“But tonight, they’re here. They lie down on their sleeping bags and whisper late into the night. This is a sacred place. A place that is not out in the world, where they have to keep up appearances, or in the house, where they have to watch their every step. Here, in the dark, they can say all the dangerous true things they keep locked away from the light.”

A tale about a mother and father murdered, their three daughters full of stories and a town that doesn’t forgive or forget. A twisty story of trying to figure out secrets that don’t want to be found out. Is blood thicker than water?

This story was really unique, creepy and suspenseful. The plot was very well developed and not easily guessed. It kept me interested, it kept me trying to figure out “whodunnit” in my head and I really enjoyed it! Four stars for this new release!

Good Bad Girl by Alice Feeney BOOK Review

“Sometimes bad things happen to good people, so good people have to do bad things.”

Another wonderful read by Alice Feeney! This story is told from 3 points of view and it made it easy to keep up with. A story surrounding the kidnapping of a baby twenty years before and an elder care home. Filled with small surprises that beg you to keep reading, this story was brilliant and really held me until the very end. Spots of thriller, suspense and mystery were all carefully deposited into this really great story.

I really liked this one, I enjoyed the details – a pink house and a blue and white camper van. Small but, very poignant. Four stars for the newest from Alice Feeney, definitely recommend!

Tell Me Everything by Erika Krouse BOOK Review

I’m normally not a straight nonfiction girl, unless it’s memoirs and that’s where this one got me. The author used the perfect amount of fiction (name changes and small things like that), to make it seem more fiction than nonfiction. I really enjoyed this read.

Erika has one of those faces. You know the ones you see in Walmart and immediately can strike up a conversation with. The one that just has that familiarity about her. In 2002 she accepts a job based on her “face”. She begins PI work investigating a sexual assault claim at her local college. Her Alma Mater college. She begins nervous but, quickly slips into a routine interviewing witnesses and victims. She learns she is good at this. Meeting at local bars and feeding the witnesses, she’s able to get details that her boss, lawyer Grayson cannot.

I think this is a hit. I think it’s different and that’s what makes it a great read. Four stars and definitely recommend to all of you “nosy” people like me. Wink wink!

Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney BOOK Review

I don’t even know what I just read, the only thing I know is my mind is absolutely blown! The creativity, the plot, the characters were absolutely genius! Alice, I am a new fan and will promptly be adding all of your books to my tbr list!

Things have been tense for Adam and Amelia lately so, a weekend away seems like a good start to make things better. However, upon arriving at their getaway spot, life gets creepy and the possibility of romance goes out the window or doors of the chapel.

Adams wife writes him letters every year for their anniversary and keeps them instead of letting him read. These letters are her thoughts and emotions of their marriage and someday she just may let him read one..maybe.

I finished this last night and I’m just speechless about the story. It truly was an amazing read and the littlest details were not overlooked. An absolute must read, I’m giving this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Sleepless by Romy Hausmann BOOK Review

A very special thanks to Romy and Flatiron Books for this review copy! I completely enjoyed it!

Nadja has been out of jail for a few years now, she was convicted as a child for killing her mother. She’s a loner, has a job and one friend. That friend being Laura, from work. But Laura hasn’t been around Nadja lately and suddenly she gets a call that Laura needs her help. At what cost is it worth to help Laura, she’s confessed to killing someone, so how can she help her?

This story was so good and so well written that I didn’t have a clue how it would end. I stayed on the edge of my seat while reading, a lot of action and backstory. I definitely recommend this, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough BOOK Review

I’m speechless. I just finished this novel and I am floored by just how GOOD it is!! I’m now even more eager to watch the Netflix series.

Sarah’s imagination with this story was so deep and creative. Without a doubt, a psychological thriller it alludes to many different details that

made the book as good as it is. I’ve never read anything like this and that’s why it’s now in my top 5 for 2021.

Adele and David, a couple with years of issues move to a new town. David ends up in a bar and meets Louise, who just happens to be his new secretary. Coincidentally, as Louise is dropping her child at school one day, she bumps into Adele. Their friendship begins and blossoms. But, David and Louise’s relationship does as well. Unbeknownst to David, his wife and secretary are becoming fast friends and Louise starts to suspect something awry in their marriage. That’s when things take a dark and twisty turn.

I really enjoyed this novel and I highly recommend to everyone! I’m a thriller fan but, I think anyone could enjoy this.
